Sydney Schneider is the Director of Operations and Strategy at Ballad since September 2018. Prior to that, Sydney worked at Cascade Projects as an Advisor for Economic Inclusion from January 2019 to November 2022. Previously, Sydney held various roles at Finning (Canada) including Supply Chain Analytics Lead, Supply Chain Supervisor, Procurement Supervisor, and Corporate Buyer. Sydney holds a Bachelor of Applied International Business & Supply Chain Management degree from MacEwan University and is also CPIM certified by APICS Edmonton.

Founded in 2012, Ballad provides workforce development programs for unemployed and underemployed Albertans in 6 regions across the province. Our industry-driven programs prepare participants to obtain meaningful employment in a diversity of industries including supply chain, construction, hospitality, insurance and agriculture. Our programs include essential skills workshops, simulated work sites, in-class occupational training, micro-credentials, employer site visits and job placements. Our impact goal is to empower participates to be resilient and reattach to the workforce long-term. We also provide economic development, community development and business advisory consulting services for rural municipalities and Indigenous Communities. We integrate an engagement process that supports our clients achieve their vision for the future.
