Gary Melhuish

Gary Melhuish is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in litigation support services and legal assistant management. Currently serving as the Senior Manager of Litigation Support Services at Ballard Spahr LLP since February 2006, Gary oversees the recruitment, workload management, mentoring, and training of 45 paralegals and support personnel across 14 offices, along with supervising contract attorney teams. Prior to this role, Gary was the Director of Legal Assistants at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson, LLP from November 1985 to February 2006, where responsibilities included the recruitment and training of up to 35 legal assistants specializing in various areas of law. Gary holds an M.A. in College and University Administration from Michigan State University and a B.A. in History from the University of Maryland.
