Rhitom Mishra

Rhitom Mishra is a data engineering intern at Ballotpedia since September 2023, specializing in editorial-track data engineering. Prior experience includes serving as a Diversity Outreach Admissions Fellow at Mount Holyoke College, where Rhitom facilitated connections for students from underrepresented backgrounds. As a NSF REU Intern at Carnegie Mellon University's Human-Computer Interaction Institute, Rhitom assessed algorithmic fairness in human-AI collaborations and communicated findings to stakeholders. Rhitom also completed a rigorous leadership development program as a 2020 REBLS Academy Fellow and gained retail experience at the Family Shelter Service of Metropolitan Family Services DuPage. Earlier work as an English Second Language Teacher at Ap Hae Dong Elementary School showcased Rhitom's commitment to education. Rhitom holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and International Relations from Mount Holyoke College, complemented by a high school diploma from Neuqua Valley High School.
