Jason A. Shapiro

Jason A. Shapiro has over 35 years of legal experience. Jason A. began their legal career as the Director of Juvenile Justice at the Office of the State's Attorney for Montgomery County, Maryland in 1985. In 1988, they moved to the Office of the State's Attorney for Howard County, Maryland as an Assistant State's Attorney. In 1991, they opened their own law office, the Law Office of Jason A. Shapiro, as the Managing Partner. In 2001, they joined Hodes Ulman Pessin & Katz as the Chief of the Criminal Defense Division. In 2005, they founded Shapiro Zwanetz & Associates, where they served as Senior Managing Partner. In 2022, they became the Chief Legal Counsel at Ballyhoo Media and also became the Founder, Former Managing Partner, and currently "Of Counsel" at Shapiro Zwanetz & Lake.

Jason A. Shapiro attended the University of Baltimore School of Law from 1983 to 1987, where they obtained a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree. Prior to that, they attended the University of Maryland from 1979 to 1983 and received a Bachelor of Arts - BA in Political Science and Government. In 1987, they were awarded a Juris Doctor certification.
