Stuart Sirota

Stuart Sirota is an accomplished transportation and urban planning professional with extensive experience spanning over three decades. Currently serving as the Deputy Director for Planning and Sustainable Transportation at the Baltimore City Department of Transportation since May 2023, Stuart has held various leadership roles, including Interim Deputy Director and Capital Planning Chief. Previous experience includes a position as Senior Account Executive/Community Planning Development Specialist at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and Assistant Vice President for Real Estate, Planning, and Space Management at the University of Maryland Baltimore. Additionally, Stuart has worked as Principal at Alta Planning + Design and held significant roles at the Maryland Department of Planning and TND Planning Group. Notably, Stuart began a career in planning as a Senior Planner at the Maryland Transit Administration. Educational background includes studies at Virginia Tech.
