Katie MacKay

Katie Mackay serves as a Middle School ELA Teacher and Special Education Teacher at Baltimore City Public Schools since August 2021. In addition, Katie is a Corps Member with Teach for America Baltimore, starting in February 2021. Previous experience includes a role as a server at Nittany Lion Inn from February 2019 to January 2020, and a Criminal Bureau Non-Legal Intern at the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office during the summer of 2019, where extensive work involved assisting prosecutors and conducting research on human trafficking cases. Currently pursuing a Master of Education in Literacy at Loyola University Maryland, Katie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology with a focus in Business/Public Administration and a minor in Psychology from Penn State University, along with experience studying abroad at ISI Florence.
