Derrick Dickens

Derrick Dickens became BGE's chief operating officer and senior vice president in 2021 and oversees the day-to-day operations of the company, including safety, reliability, and information technology.

Prior to his current role, Dickens was senior vice president of customer operations and chief customer officer of Exelon-owned Pepco Holdings, (PHI), where he had oversight of customer service functions at Atlantic City Electric, Delmarva Power and Pepco.

Dickens previously served as BGE's vice president of technical services from April 2016 to December of 2019 where he oversaw investment strategy, vegetation management, project management, and electric distribution engineering. He was also BGE's executive sponsor for innovation projects, which included pioneering unmanned aerial vehicle inspection capabilities and new electric system reliability technologies. He first joined the Exelon family of companies in 2004 at PECO in Philadelphia, serving as program manager of Distribution Reliability and Maintenance.
