Board-certified family physician Ursula McClymont received her Bachelor of Science in microbiology from Howard University in Washington, D.C. She completed her doctorate at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and her residency from the university’s program in Family and Community Medicine. Following her residency, Dr. McClymont completed a fellowship in geriatric medicine at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Md. In 2001, she coauthored a chapter in the geriatric text Geriatrics – 20 Common Problems. She has lectured on numerous geriatric topics, including alcohol and drug abuse, care of the acutely ill hospitalized patient and perioperative care of the elderly. Dr. McClymont serves as a Clinical Associate Professor in the University of Maryland School of Medicine Department of Family and Community Medicine. She holds active membership in many professional organizations, including the American Academy of Family Physicians, The American Geriatrics Society and the American Association of Physician Leaders. Since joining Baltimore Medical System in 2006 as a full-time provider (and as-needed since 2004), she has served in several roles, such as chair of the addictions and pain medicine committee, Center Medical Director for two of Baltimore Medical System’s centers, Vice President of Medical Affairs, and her current role as Chief Medical Officer.
