James Taneja

James Taneja currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Risk Management at Balyasny Asset Management L.P., a role held since September 2022. Prior to this, James held the position of Chief Operating Officer for Investment Risk at Apollo Global Management Inc. from 2020 to January 2023. Between April 2010 and 2020, James was affiliated with Citadel LLC, where responsibilities included the Management Office for Global Quantitative Strategies and a period of non-compete during garden leave. James began a professional career as an Associate at Huron Consulting Group from July 2007 to April 2010, following an internship at Booz Allen Hamilton from December 2005 to January 2007. James earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, completing studies in 2007.
