Joyce Lau

Joyce Lau is an experienced human resources professional currently serving as the Head of People for Equities, Multi-Asset Arbitrage & Quant Research at Balyasny Asset Management L.P. since April 2025. Prior to this role, Joyce was the HR COO at Citadel Securities from June 2022 to January 2025 and held various senior HR positions at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, including Senior Vice President for the Chief Financial Officer Group and Vice President for Global Commercial Banking, Business Banking & AML, as well as Global Markets. Additional experience includes a role in talent acquisition reporting at American Express and as an HRIS Analyst at Bloomberg LP. Joyce holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management from Emory University's Goizueta Business School and has further education from HKUST Business School.
