Peter Hafner

Peter Hafner, CFA, is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in investment research and alternative data analysis. Currently serving as the Director of Alternative Data Research at Balyasny Asset Management L.P. since October 2024, Peter previously held roles at Carbon Arc and Point72, where significant contributions included leading a research group within the Office of the Chief Investment Officer to leverage field research and alternative data for actionable insights. Prior positions also include Vice President at GE Energy Financial Services and various analytical roles at Glenview Capital and Standard and Poor's. Peter holds an MBA with Distinction from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management and a B.A. in Government from Harvard University.
