Georgia Thompson

Georgia joined BAM in early 2019 as a Design Coordinator where her role is to manage and support a multi-million, multi-discipline structures portfolio on behalf of Network Rail. The role involves providing engineering management and technical assessments of bridge reconstructions and refurbishments, as well as delivering to budget, quality and programme.

Georgia is incredibly passionate about inclusive leadership. She believes that everyone should be able to bring their ‘whole self’ to work to reach their full potential and that this is important to professional and personal development.

In 2018, Georgia co-founded a social enterprise called Dversty to improve the inclusion of diverse groups in engineering and technology industries. Georgia has also been involved in campaigns with WISE, Women’s Engineering Society, Open Data Institute, CHAIN Events, STEMAZING and the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). And was shortlisted for STEM Rising Star Black British Business Awards 2020.
