Susan Daker

Susan Daker has a range of work experience in various positions and industries. Susan is currently the Founder and CEO of Bambinista, a premium baby and nursery store. Prior to this, they served as a mentor at the Founder Institute and was a part of the Funding Lab 12 Cohort. Susan also graduated from the Founder Institute's Winter 2019 Cohort as a winning business. Susan has a strong educational background, having completed a Global Executive MBA from SDA Bocconi with Summa Cum Laude honors. In terms of their past roles, they have worked at LVMH as a Global Buying/Merchandise Director for luxury fashion brands and as a Global Planning Manager for contemporary fashion brands. Susan also held positions at Al Tayer Group as the Head of Buying & Planning for Homewares Brands and at Mr Price Group as a Planning Manager. Susan's early experience includes working as a Merchandise Planner at Massmart. Overall, Susan has a diverse background in retail, business development, and strategic planning.

Susan Daker completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) - Global Executive MBA, specializing in Business Administration and General Management (with a focus on Luxury Management) at SDA Bocconi from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Commerce, with a major in Marketing & Strategic Management, from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2004. Susan also holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika, which they completed from 2000 to 2003, concentrating on Information Systems & Strategic Management.
