Joe Donaldson

Joe Donaldson is currently the VP of Engineering at BambooHR. Joe has over fifteen years of experience in software engineering and management. Joe previous led the software engineering team at Spark Networks and was responsible for a large scale architecture efficiency project that utilized memcached, Couchbase, RabbitMQ, and asynchronous functionality. Joe has also supported a large growth of one of our properties (20x growth over a few years), finding new problems around every corner. In their previous position at Persona LLC, they developed large architecture plans spanning software and systems. Joe is an expert in leading, designing, and thinking through large scale data migrations. Joe has also helped transition teams to using SCRUM. Additionally, they have led an effort to modularize, service orient and consolidate existing systems.

Joe Donaldson attended Utah Valley University, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems.

Their manager is Brad Rencher, CEO. They work with Brian Crofts - Chief Product Officer, John Meese - Executive Creative Director, and Ryan Ostler - VP, FP&A.
