Harshad Kulkarni has had a varied work experience, beginning in 2005 when they were a Senior House Officer at M.G.M Hospital in New Mumbai. Harshad then moved on to become an On-board Medical Officer at ONGC in Mumbai High in the same year. In 2006, they became a Resident in Nuclear Medicine at Apollo Hospital in Chennai. In 2005, they were a Resident in Medical Oncology at Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre, and a Resident in Internal Medicine and Critical Care at Saraswati Hospital and Research Centre in Kolhapur. In 2010, they became a Clinical Research Associate at Klinik für Nuklearmedizin und PET/CT at Zentralklinik, Bad Berka GmBH. From 2012 to 2022, they held various roles at THERANOSTICS Center for Molecular Radiotherapy and Molecular Imaging, Zentralklinik Bad Berka GmbH, including Senior Consultant Nuclear Medicine/ Theranostics Physician, Nuclear Medicine Consultant, and Assistant Nuclear Medicine Physician. Since 2022, they have been a Clinical Associate Professor of Radiology at Michigan State University and Chief Medical Advisor at BAMF Health.

Harshad Kulkarni began their educational journey at the Atomic Energy Central School from 1986 to 1996. Harshad then attended the Atomic Energy Junior College from 1996 to 1998, studying English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. From 1998 to 2004, they attended the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, where they obtained a M.B.B.S in Medicine. In 2009 and 2010, they attended Uppsala University, where they obtained an MS in Medical Nuclide Techniques. Finally, they attended Germany, where they obtained a Facharzt für Nuklearmedizin in Nuclear Medicine Specialist in 2017.
