Peter Anderson

Peter Anderson is an accomplished expert in applied AI and machine learning, currently serving as Head of Research at Balyasny Asset Management L.P. since March 2024, where transformative AI models for investing are developed. Previously, Peter held the position of Senior Research Scientist at Google from January 2020 to August 2023, working on multimodal generative AI and leading a team in various projects. Peter's prior experience includes a role as Research Scientist at Georgia Institute of Technology, a PhD internship at Microsoft Research, and contributions to software development at SABRE Autonomous Solutions and FrameFish. An earlier background in finance includes positions at Credit Suisse, Macquarie Group, and Goldman Sachs. Peter holds a PhD in Machine Learning & Robotic Vision from The Australian National University and degrees in Computer Engineering and Commerce from UNSW and the University of Sydney, respectively.
