Gustavo Cota

Gustavo Cota has extensive work experience in project management and business development in the mining and transportation industries. Gustavo worked as the Director of Operations and Business Development at BAMIN, overseeing a railway concession project. Prior to this, they served as the Strategic Planning and Business Development General Manager at BAMIN, managing an integrated Iron Ore, Railway, and Port project. Gustavo also worked as a Project Leader at Mineração Rio do Norte, where they handled various projects related to a Bauxite operation in the Amazon. Gustavo Cota had significant roles at Vale, including Senior Project Controls Manager and Project Engineer, where they managed large-scale projects and implemented Research and Development initiatives. Additionally, they worked as a Professor at IETEC - Instituto de Educação Tecnológica. Gustavo is currently a Member of the Board of Directors at Associação Nacional dos Transportadores Ferroviários - ANTF.

Gustavo Cota has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, which they obtained from 2002 to 2006. Gustavo pursued further education and earned a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Universidade FUMEC - Oficial during the years 2016 to 2018. Additionally, they completed a Master's degree in Accounting and Finance at Universidad del CEMA from 2011 to 2012. Gustavo also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Project Management from Ibmec, which they achieved between 2007 and 2009. Gustavo engaged in a Global Leadership Program at IMD in 2014, specializing in Strategic Management - Strategic Thinking. Lastly, Gustavo is currently enrolled in Imperial College London, pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, expected to be completed in 2025.
