Ray Mitchell, MSHRL, PHR, SHRM-CP has extensive experience in human resources and leadership roles. Ray Mitchell, is currently the Founder & CEO and Chief HR Officer of Thrive HR, Inc. Prior to this, they served as the Chief People Officer at Banc Card of America. From 2014 to 2019, they worked as the Chief Human Resources Officer at Schulte Hospitality Group, where they managed a team of 15 and oversaw all facets of HR for a national hotel management and restaurant company. Before that, they were the Chief People Officer at SERVUS!, responsible for leading the HR function for a multi-concept restaurant company. Ray Mitchell also held the position of Vice President of Human Resources at Dean Dorton, PLLC, where they led HR for a public accounting and consulting firm. Ray Mitchell, served as the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Ceridian Stored Value Solutions, responsible for HR functions during the company's global expansion. Prior to that, they held the role of Senior Director of Human Resources at Papa John's International, where they oversaw various HR programs and supervised a team of 20. Ray Mitchell began their career as the Director of Human Resources at CardioVascular Associates, P.S.C., where they established the HR function and also managed payroll and purchasing functions.

Ray Mitchell, MSHRL, PHR, SHRM-CP has a Master's of Science degree in Human Resources Leadership from Sullivan University, which they obtained from 2009 to 2012. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's of Business Administration degree in Business Management & Marketing from McKendree University, which they completed from 1991 to 1993.

In addition to their education, Ray Mitchell has obtained various certifications throughout their career. These include the Professional in Human Resources® (PHR®) certification from HRCI, which they obtained in February 2020 and also in May 1998.
