Karen Hon

Karen Hon currently serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer at Banc of California since January 2025. Prior to this role, Karen held the position of Chief Accounting Officer at First Citizens Bank from January 2023 to January 2024 and at Silicon Valley Bank from January 2012 to January 2023. At Silicon Valley Bank, Karen led an Accounting and Reporting team of over 200 individuals and previously directed Financial Planning & Analysis with a team of more than 20, focusing on corporate forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning. Additionally, Karen has experience as the Controller of Corporate Accounting, overseeing financial statement preparation and global accounting functions across multiple regions. Karen earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Psychology from The University of British Columbia.
