Alexandru Antonescu

Alexandru Antonescu is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the IT and data analytics sectors. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Data, Analytics & AI at BCR since January 2024, Alexandru previously worked at Vodafone from June 2008 to January 2024 in various leadership positions, including Head of IT Core BSS and Head of IT Digital Engineering & Integration, overseeing teams of over 150 IT professionals. Key responsibilities have included driving Agile transformation, enabling digital visions through technical delivery, and leading large-scale project implementations such as CRM transformations and Cloud initiatives. Alexandru holds a degree from Politehnica University of Bucharest and has a strong foundation in enterprise architecture and systems integration from early roles in IT support and analysis.
