Bogdan Cioban

Bogdan Cioban has held various roles in the banking industry since 2006. Bogdan is currently working at BCR as the Head of the Corporate Risk Underwriting Department, a position they have held since May 2022. Prior to this, they were the Team Coordinator in the Corporate Underwriting Department at BCR from January 2018 to May 2022. In 2019, they were a member of the International Talent Pool at Erste Group. Bogdan worked as a Senior Credit Risk Analyst at Bancpost from February 2017 to December 2017 and as a Senior Risk Analyst at UniCredit Bank Romania from June 2016 to January 2017. Bogdan had an extensive tenure at ING, where they served as a Senior Risk Expert from March 2015 to May 2016 and as a Senior Credit Risk Analyst from June 2012 to May 2016. Before this, they were the Head of the Lending Analysis Department (a.i.) at ING LEASE & FACTORING from November 2010 to June 2012 and a Senior Credit Analyst at ING Lease Romania IFN SA from September 2010 to June 2012. Bogdan started their career at Piraeus Bank Romania, where they held the positions of Team Leader in Corporate Credit Analysis from March 2008 to September 2010 and Team Leader in Mortgage Loans from February 2006 to March 2008.

Bogdan Cioban's education history begins with their completion of high school at Stephan Ludwig Roth High School in Medias from 1999 to 2003. During this time, their field of study was focused on physics and chemistry.

From 2003 to 2007, Bogdan pursued a Bachelor's Degree at Academia de Studii Economice din Bucuresti. Their field of study during this period was banking, corporate finance, and securities law.

Subsequently, Bogdan completed their Master's Degree from 2007 to 2009 at Academia de Studii Economice din Bucuresti, specializing in banking and financial markets.

Finally, from 2010 to 2016, Bogdan attended Universitatea "Babes-Bolyai" din Cluj-Napoca, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in finance and financial management services.
