In 1973, Nicola Stabile was hired by the Bank of Italy; he was appointed manager in 1984 and the following year was assigned to the Inspectorate for the Supervision of Credit Companies. He was appointed by the Bank of Italy for CTU assignments at the Public Prosecutor's Offices of Arezzo, Rome and Florence. At the end of 2012 he retired with the rank of "Senior Inspector". On 11 February 2013 he was appointed Extraordinary Commissioner of Banca Popolare di Spoleto S.p.A. and of the parent company Spoleto Credito e Servizi s. coop. a.r.l. Starting from May 2015, Mr. Stabile holds the position of Standing Auditor of Arepo Bp. Until July 2016 he was Chairman of the Supervisory Body of SIDIEF S.p.A., a company to which the real estate assets of the Bank of Italy have been assigned.
