Leonardo C. Fleck

Leonardo C. Fleck is an experienced leader in sustainability and environmental solutions, currently serving as Managing Director (Senior Head), Sustainability at Santander Brasil. This role encompasses leadership in sustainable innovation and the Amazon Plan, where strategic projects aimed at fostering sustainable development in the Amazon region are executed. Fleck is also Managing Director (Senior Head), Nature & Biodiversity at Santander, guiding the organization’s global initiatives on nature conservation. In addition to various board positions, including roles at Biomas, Amazon Journey Platform, and the World Resources Institute, Fleck has previously held significant positions such as Chairman of the Board at Conservation Strategy Fund and Head of Forests and Agriculture Markets at the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, where major market transformation programs were co-designed. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science from the University of Kent, an MBA from Centro Universitário UNA, a Bachelor of Science from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, and a SAPM from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
