John Orutwa

John Orutwa joined the Group as CTO in May 2017. His responsibilities include oversight of all operations, including network, IT systems and commercial operations across the BCS footprint. Drawing on 14 years of experience working for telecom operators and suppliers, he brings a wealth of expertise in network optimisation systems and process, including growth planning and management. John holds a BSc in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from the University of Nairobi. He previously worked in Nokia, Airtel Kenya Managed services, Safaricom, Huawei and ZTE.
