Maeen M.D. Khairul Akter

Maeen Md. Khairul Akter is a dedicated academic and professional with extensive experience in the textile and apparel industry, waste management, and sustainability. Currently serving as a PhD student at Stony Brook University since August 2022, Maeen also holds the position of Assistant Professor at Bangladesh University of Textiles since April 2018. In addition, Maeen contributes as Managing Editor for both Textile Focus and Denim Focus, focusing on the denim and jeans industry, and has a long-standing role as a Technical Writer on Upwork. Previous experience includes roles as Trainer and Consultant at AAA Control, Trainer and Assessor at BTMA-SEIP, and Lecturer at the National Institute of Textile Engineering and Research. Maeen's educational background includes a Master of Science in Management of Technology from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Textile Engineering Management from Bangladesh University of Textiles.
