Irin Akter Shuchana

Irin Akter Shuchana is an emerging climate activist currently serving as a Youth Fellow at the International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD) since January 2025, where empowerment through capacity building and networking takes place. Alongside this role, Irin is an Associate Trainer at Global Platform Bangladesh and participates in the Global Organising and Leadership Development Project with ActionAid Bangladesh, focusing on heritage and national-level issues. As Co-Chair of the Bangladesh Water Youth Parliament, efforts are directed towards addressing water issues. Irin contributes to disaster management as a volunteer with Shalbrikkho Ltd, providing resources for flood-affected communities. Additional roles include serving as a SALT Facilitator for the Global Fund for Children and an Associate with the United Nations Youth and Students Association of Bangladesh. Irin's educational background includes a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Kabi Nazrul College and professional training in cost and management accounting.
