Christiane Smith

Christiane (Christie) Smith is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research and education management. Currently serving as the Research and Impact Development Manager at Bangor University since July 2023, Christiane has previously held key roles at the University of Bristol, including Research Manager and Research Administrator within the School of Education, as well as positions as an Editorial Assistant and Publishing Assistant at Bristol University Press and Policy Press. Christiane's academic background includes a BA in History and German from the University of Oxford, a PhD in Politics and International Relations from the University of Exeter, and a Master of Arts in International Relations from Oxford Brookes University. Additional qualifications include a Level 7 Diploma in Translation and an RHS Level 2 Certificate in Practical Horticulture. Prior to these academic and research roles, Christiane worked in various support and care positions, highlighting a commitment to service and education throughout a diverse career.
