Michelle Chappell

Michelle Chappell currently serves as the Managing Director at Banijay since January 2023. Prior to this role, Michelle held the position of Creative Director at Endemol Shine UK from January 2019 to January 2023 and worked as the Commissioning Editor for Documentaries at Channel 4 from February 2017 to January 2019. Michelle's career includes significant roles at Channel 5 as a Commissioning Editor (VP) for Factual, News and Current Affairs from June 2011 to February 2017, and as a Series Producer & Executive Producer at BBC from February 2007 to June 2011. Earlier experiences include working as Deputy Editor for ITV's This Morning and various production roles at Princess Productions and ITN. Michelle began a freelance journalism career in 1997, contributing to several notable outlets. Michelle holds a First Class Honours degree in Communications with Politics from the University of Leeds.
