Simon Cox has extensive experience in the media industry, particularly in content acquisitions and management. Simon currently holds the position of EVP Content Acquisitions at Banijay Rights. Prior to this, they worked at Endemol Shine Group as the Head of Acquisitions, where they were responsible for developing the overall acquisitions strategy and managing relationships with third-party producers and rights holders. Simon also served as a Senior Investment Manager at Ingenious Media, where they led investments into television and film projects. Simon has prior experience at BBC Worldwide, where they held various roles including Head of Business Management for Content and Business Manager for Content & Production. Simon's expertise in acquisitions extends to international markets, as seen in their role as VP Sales & Co-productions at BBC Worldwide Canada. Simon's journey in the media industry began with a role as Assistant Finance/Acquisitions Manager at UKTV Gold and Assistant Finance Manager at UKTV History. Prior to their career in media, Simon gained experience in banking as part of an industrial placement program at NatWest Bank plc.
Simon Cox attended Loughborough University Business School from 1997 to 2001, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree (with Honors) in Banking and Finance.
