Bryan Hurtado

Bryan Hurtado has a diverse and extensive work experience. Bryan currently holds the position of Head of Economic Analysis at Banistmo since June 2022. Previously, they worked as an International Analyst at Bancolombia from April 2019 to June 2022. Bryan also worked as a Consultant at Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo from October 2019 to December 2021. In addition, Bryan gained teaching experience at Universidad de los Andes - Colombia, where they served as a Teaching Assistant for Introduction to Macroeconomics and Pensando Problemas from 2018 to 2019. Bryan also worked as a Research Assistant for Ph.D. Marcela Eslava, contributing to published papers on productivity in Latin America.

Bryan Hurtado completed their education at Universidad de Los Andes. Bryan obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics from 2013 to 2018. Later, from 2018 to 2019, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Economics from the same university. Additionally, they obtained a certification called "Introducción a la programación en Python I: Aprendiendo a programar con Python" from Coursera in March 2019. In May 2020, they received several awards from FocusEconomics for their forecasting skills, including the "FocusEconomics Analyst Forecast Award - Best Fiscal Balance Forecaster - Panama 2020," "FocusEconomics Analyst Forecast Award - Best GDP Forecaster - Guatemala 2020," "FocusEconomics Analyst Forecast Award - Best Overall Forecaster - El Salvador 2020," and "FocusEconomics Analyst Forecast Award - Top-3 Overall Forecaster - Panama 2020."
