Kaustav Datta

Kaustav Datta has worked in a variety of roles in the technology industry since 2013. Kaustav began their career as a Summer Intern at RailTel Corporation of India Ltd in 2013. In 2014, they worked as a Research and Development Engineering Intern at Ericsson. In 2015, they worked as a Software Engineer at Global Analytics. In 2017, they worked as a Research and Development Engineer at IPsoft, where they developed Face anti-spoofing techniques for increased security, improved inference time of the existing Face Recognition system, and integrated a Multi-Task Cascaded CNN (MTCNN) architecture into production. In 2020, they worked as an Applied Data Science Intern at Qualcomm and a Graduate Teaching Assistant at UC San Diego. Kaustav is currently working as a Machine Learning Engineer at Varian and will be transitioning to Banjo Health in 2022, also as a Machine Learning Engineer.

Kaustav Datta attended Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Kaustav then attended UC San Diego from 2019 to 2021, where they earned a Master of Science in Machine Learning and Data Science from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. In November 2020, Kaustav also obtained a Triplebyte Certified Machine Learning Engineer certification from Triplebyte.
