Zikri Shairy

Zikri Shairy has a diverse work experience in the banking and finance industry. Zikri started their career at Bank Muamalat as a Financing Executive from 2007 to 2009. Zikri then joined RHB Banking Group as a Financing Executive for a short period before transitioning to Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad. At Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad, Zikri held various roles including Deputy Manager/Head of Shariah Risk Management and Assistant Manager of Shariah Advisory from 2009 to 2015. After that, they worked at Amanie Advisors as the Chief Executive Officer of the KL Office and later as a Consultant from 2015 to 2018. Zikri then returned to Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad and took on positions such as Senior Manager in the Shariah Centre of Excellence and the Centre of Social Finance. Currently, they hold the role of Senior Vice President in the Social Finance Division at Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad. Throughout their career, Zikri has been involved in social finance initiatives, zakat management, waqf projects, and providing Shariah advisory services to clients.

Zikri Shairy completed a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) (Hons) degree from the International Islamic University Malaysia from 2002 to 2006. Zikri then pursued a Master of Comparative Laws degree from the same university from 2010 to 2013. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Islamic Professional Credit Certification (Business) from IBFIM in the year 2021, and became a Certified Design Thinking Professional from GInI - Global Innovation Institute in October 2019.
