Brenda Hughes

Brenda Hughes has extensive work experience in the banking industry. Brenda started their career at First Tennessee Bank as a Vice President in Bank Finance, where they coordinated strategic planning and annual planning processes. Brenda also engaged in balance sheet management and product pricing to meet revenue targets. Brenda then moved on to become an SVP and Business Line Controller at First Tennessee Bank, where they developed the annual planning process for business lines and managed a financial team responsible for planning, month-end close, and sales reporting. Brenda later joined First Horizon National Corporation as an SVP and Business Line Controller, where they orchestrated planning, financial reporting, and control functions for the Shared Services segment. Finally, Brenda worked at Bank of Bartlett as a VP of Operations and IT Officer, where they coordinated the strategic and tactical activities of Operations, Bookkeeping, and Information Technology. Brenda ensured adherence to policies and procedures, and partnered with executive management and external vendors to deliver effective processes and software.

Brenda Hughes attended Baylor University from 1979 to 1981, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Finance and Economics. Their field of study was primarily Finance, and they completed their degree in the general field of Finance.
