Roger Hatch

Roger Hatch serves as the Senior Director of the Central Bank Digital Currency Portfolio at the Bank of Canada since October 2012, with previous roles including Deputy Managing Director and Deputy CIO, Senior Director of Core Technology Services, and Senior Director of Resilience Programs. Roger's extensive experience encompasses senior project management and infrastructure consulting for MD Physician Services, as well as program management during the data centre migration at the University of Ottawa. Roger's career spans various leadership positions in organizations such as the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, the Canadian Payments Association, and the Pythian Group, along with significant roles focused on IT security, architecture, and engineering. Education credentials include an MBA from the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa and a B.Sc. in Physics from Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador.
