Julia Giese has extensive experience in the financial sector, currently serving as the Head of the International Surveillance Division at the Bank of England since December 2008. Throughout her tenure, Julia has held various significant positions, including Senior Manager of the Europe Surveillance Team and acting in multiple leadership roles within Monetary Analysis and Financial Stability. Prior to her work at the Bank of England, Julia was a Peter Martin Fellow at the Financial Times and an Economist at Lehman Brothers. Julia's academic background includes a DPhil and an MPhil in Economics from the University of Oxford, as well as a BS in Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science.
