Lydia Reid

Lydia Reid serves as the Deputy Agent for Greater London at the Bank of England since October 2020, where responsibilities include engaging with local businesses and communities to collect economic intelligence for the Monetary Policy Committee. Previously, Lydia completed a 6-month secondment as the Deputy Agent for the East Midlands and worked as a Senior Analyst in the Future of Money Division, focusing on stakeholder engagement and research involving cash users. Prior experience includes roles as an Analyst at the UK National Audit Office and as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at St John's College, University of Durham, contributing to significant research projects. Lydia also has experience as a Lecturer at Nottingham Trent University. Educational credentials include a PhD in Sociology, an MSc in Sociological Research, and a BSocSc in Sociology, all from The University of Manchester.
