Simon Kirby

Simon Kirby currently serves as a Senior Manager in the Current Economic Conditions Division at the Bank of England since June 2017. Previously, Simon was associated with the National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR) from October 1999 to June 2017, where roles included Head of Macroeconomic Modelling and Forecasting, Principal Research Fellow, Research Fellow, Senior Research Officer, and Research Officer. Simon led a team of economists in producing significant economic forecasts and research. Academically, Simon holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from The London School of Economics and Political Science, a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Human Resource Management from Keele University, and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Statistics from Birkbeck, University of London.
