Zaar Khan is a seasoned economist with extensive experience in both global and UK economic analysis. Currently serving as a Global Economist at the Bank of England since September 2019, Zaar is responsible for producing forecasts related to world GDP, trade, and inflation. Previously, as a UK Economist within the same institution, Zaar led near-term forecasts for UK inflation, GDP, and the labor market through advanced time series analysis. Additional experience includes a role as a Macro Strategist at State Street, where Zaar wrote research documents analyzing financial market trends, and as a Student Ambassador at the University of Surrey, providing tailored tours and customer service. Zaar holds an MSc in Economics from UCL and a BSc in Economics and Finance from the University of Surrey.
