Christine Simiyu is an accomplished financial professional with extensive experience in the banking and audit sectors. Currently serving as the Divisional Financial Controller for Markets & Treasury at the Bank of Ireland since April 2017, Christine has held various leadership roles including Technical Accounting, Learning & Developments Lead and Head of Valuations and Technical Accounting within Global Markets. Prior to this, a distinguished career at Deloitte spanned over a decade, beginning as an experienced audit senior and progressing to Director of Audit-Financial Services, where responsibilities included coordinating audits for major banks and corporate treasury. Christine also gained experience at KPMG in the Cayman Islands as an Audit Senior and earlier at Deloitte as a graduate audit trainee and senior. Educational qualifications include a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Sector Management from SOAS University of London and a BCOMM in Accounting from the University of Nairobi.
