Asaf Cohen has a diverse work experience in the field of IT and application development. Asaf started their career in 1990 as the Head of Application Development for the Israel Defense Forces, where they worked until 1996. Asaf then joined the Bank of Israel in 1996 as an Application Developer, and later became the Head of the Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) IT team from 2002 to 2007. In 2008, Asaf was appointed as the Head of the Core Application Division at the Bank of Israel, where they currently hold this position.
Asaf Cohen has a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Philosophy from Tel Aviv University. Asaf also holds a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) in Computer Science from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) in Computer Science at Bar-Ilan University. Consequently, they hold two BASc degrees from Bar-Ilan University, both in Computer Science.
