Amrit Chaitanya

Amrit Chaitanya is an experienced professional in the payments industry, currently serving as the Head of Payments Ecosystems & Performance at Bank of New Zealand since August 2023, where responsibilities include evaluating and shaping payment value propositions. Prior to this role, Amrit held the position of Head of Instore Payments Acceptance at Worldline, focusing on product enhancements and customer partnerships. With experience at Wpay as Head of Market Development, Amrit established the New Zealand entity and launched a digital gifting product. Previous roles also include driving digital business initiatives and payments at Countdown Supermarkets and strategic management at Woolworths Limited. Amrit began the career at Paymark Ltd, developing EFTPOS product strategies, and held an IT service management position at Air New Zealand. Amrit Chaitanya holds an MBA from Massey University.
