Nikolay Novozhilov

Nikolay Novozhilov has extensive work experience in various roles, starting with their current position as the Head of Data Science and Advanced Analytics at Bank of Singapore since September 2019. Nikolay is responsible for driving digital transformation by democratizing data and bridging the data-action gap. Nikolay also built and leads a team of approximately 10 Data Scientists and Data Engineers, delivering multiple projects using graph analysis, natural language processing, complex ML models, and python automations. Additionally, they provide regular trainings to upskill business users.

Prior to their current role, Nikolay served as the Head of Digital Products at NTUC Link Pte Ltd from June 2017 to August 2019. In this role, they led the customer front-end, overseeing the website, mobile app, and digital marketing technology for Singapore's largest loyalty program.

From August 2014 to June 2017, Nikolay worked as the Chief Data Scientist at Wego.com, a leading flight and hotel metasearch engine in Asia-Pacific and the Middle East. Nikolay established and led a data team, consisting of five direct reports, contributing to the company's success.

Before joining Wego.com, Nikolay held two positions at Bubbly, a Sequoia Capital-backed startup focused on mobile voice micro-blogging. From July 2013 to August 2014, they served as a Product Manager, responsible for redesigning the company's legacy product, resulting in a 2x increase in traffic. Prior to that, from March 2012 to July 2013, they worked as a Data Scientist at Bubbly.

Nikolay has also founded and co-founded companies earlier in their career, including Empirika from 2007 to 2010, where they served as a Partner and Co-founder. Nikolay gained experience as a Senior Analyst at Cominfo Consulting from 2006 to 2007 and as a Market Research Analyst at Hewlett-Packard from 2005 to 2006.

Nikolay Novozhilov holds a Master's Degree in Management from Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU), which they completed from 1999 to 2005. In 2011, they pursued an additional educational qualification, obtaining a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from INSEAD. Novozhilov also obtained two certifications, namely the "SMU-BOS Advanced Certificate in Private Banking" from Singapore Management University in 2021 and the "Introduction to Artificial Intelligence" certification from Udacity in 2011.
