Huw Bough

Huw Bough has a diverse range of work experience in the banking and financial industry. Huw currently holds the position of Chief Retail Banking Officer at Bank of Sydney since October 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the General Manager Banking at MyState Bank from June 2021 to October 2023.

In 2020, Bough served as the COO of Kooyong Group (Kooyong Avant JV), where they were part of a team building Australia's leading specialist lender for Doctors. From 2019 to 2021, they worked in business consulting at Avant, serving as a Consultant and Non-Executive Director for the organization.

Before that, Bough held various roles at My State Bank, starting as a Group Executive in August 2014. Huw'sresponsibilities included leadership, operation, customer service, and sales performance of the My State Ltd Group sales divisions. Huw was also the General Manager Franchise Business at Rams Financial Group from October 2011 to July 2014.

Bough's earlier experience includes serving as the General Manager of Mortgage Broker Distribution at Westpac Banking Corporation from December 2008 to October 2011. Prior to that, they were the Head of Broker Sales at RAMS Home Loans, where they successfully restructured the sales force and increased market awareness.

Bough began their career as a Director at Australian Home Finance Solutions in 1998 and held this role until 2005.

Throughout their career, Bough has demonstrated strong leadership, strategic planning, and sales performance skills within the banking and financial sector.

Huw Bough attended Kings International College, where they obtained a Diploma of Financial Services with a focus on Financial Planning. They also completed a Diploma of Finance and Mortgage Broking Management at Intellitrain.
