Edgar Asiimwe

Edgar Asiimwe is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in the banking sector. Currently serving as a Senior Banking Officer at the Bank of Uganda since July 2016, Edgar specializes in the review of risk management systems and the enhancement of supervisory processes in response to innovations in the financial industry. Prior to this role, Edgar worked as a Commercial Banker at Equity Bank Limited from March 2014 to June 2016, focusing on cash management and customer relationship management. Edgar's career began with an internship in Tax Investigations at the Uganda Revenue Authority in 2012. Educational qualifications include an MBA in Auditing and Control from Kristianstad University and a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Makerere University.
