Carolina E. Gonzalez

Carolina E. Gonzalez, PhD, SHRM-SCP, currently serves as Chief of Staff to the President and Senior Research Associate at Bank Street College of Education since February 2024. Previously, from July 2015 to March 2024, Gonzalez held multiple roles at Montclair State University, including Associate Dean for Student Success in the inaugural College for Education and Engaged Learning and Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational Leadership, teaching graduate courses in higher education. Gonzalez has also contributed as Senior Director of Core Curriculum Implementation at the NYC Department of Education, overseeing the launch of Common Core aligned materials in nearly 1,000 schools, and has held leadership positions focused on academic support and recruitment for diverse student populations. Gonzalez holds a PhD in Higher Education Administration from Seton Hall University, alongside multiple degrees in higher education and education from the University at Albany and SUNY New Paltz.
