Simon Anko

Simon Anko has extensive experience in the financial sector, particularly in payment and settlement systems, at the Bank of Slovenia since October 1997, where roles have included Director of the Payment and Settlement Systems Department and various positions leading to that appointment. Anko serves as Chairman of the National Payments Council, the AMI-SeCo National Stakeholders Group, and the AMI-Pay National Stakeholders Group, while also being a member of the Market Infrastructure and Payments Committee (Eurosystem) and the SIMP Project Council (Bankart d.o.o). Prior to this, experience included a role as Junior Assistant at Deloitte Slovenia in early 1997. Education credentials include a Master’s degree and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Ljubljana, School of Economics and Business, completed between 1992 and 2004.
