Heiner Herkenhoff

Heiner Herkenhoff, currently serving as Hauptgeschäftsführer at Bankenverband since April 2023, has an extensive background in various leadership roles within the banking and political sectors. Prior to their current role, Heiner held the position of Managing Director, Head of Public Affairs at Commerzbank AG. Heiner also served as Member of the Management Board, Communications at Bundesverband deutscher Banken - Bankenverband. Prior to their time in the banking industry, Heiner was Head of Communications and Marketing at KPMG Deutschland. Heiner also has experience as Büroleiter Bundeskanzler Dr. Helmut Kohl at Christlich-Demokratische Union CDU. Herkenhoff completed their education at The University of Bonn and the University of Münster.
