Krishnakumar Venkatraman

Krishnakumar Venkatraman is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in operational risk management and corporate governance. Currently serving as the Sr. Vice President and Head of Group Operational Risk at First Abu Dhabi Bank since May 2012, Krishnakumar also plays a key role as Secretary of the Group Operational Risk Committee and has previously acted as Head of Risk & Compliance for a subsidiary. Responsibilities include driving the strategic direction of operational risk management, developing frameworks and policies in compliance with Basel standards, managing operational losses, and embedding product governance across various geographies. Prior professional experience includes leadership positions at Union National Bank, Sutherland Global, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and HDFC Bank. Krishnakumar holds multiple certifications, including Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
