Leela Alvares

Leela Alvares is a seasoned digital communications and content design specialist currently serving as AVP - Digital Communications at First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) since November 2024. Previously, Leela held the position of Senior Communications Manager at Synechron from January 2020 to November 2024, where responsibilities included driving content strategy and establishing a cohesive voice across digital platforms. Leela's extensive experience includes creative consultancy roles at DDB and Saatchi & Saatchi, where communication strategies were crafted for high-profile brands such as Citibank and Emirates. An advertising and digital communications expert, Leela has worked with various leading agencies, contributing to campaigns across diverse industries. Leela began a career in digital content writing at OgilvyOne and MRM MENAT, following a solid foundation in copywriting with The Classic Partnership. Leela holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from St. Xavier's College, obtained between 1990 and 1995.
