Simon Ballard

Simon Ballard is a seasoned economist and macro strategist with extensive experience in the financial sector. Currently serving as Chief Economist and Global Macro Strategist at First Abu Dhabi Bank since January 2018, Simon has previously held key positions including Credit Markets Strategist at Bloomberg LP, Head of Credit Strategy at National Australia Bank, and Senior Credit Strategist at RBC Capital Markets and BNP Paribas. Simon's career also includes a role as Strategist/Investment Specialist at Fortis Investments. An alumnus of the University of East Anglia, Simon earned a Joint Honours degree in Economics and French between 1985 and 1989.
